Contemporary ornaments

A selection of patterns created as a study of motifs recurrent in contemporary illustration.The motifs were first identified and then repeated to an extent where they become excessive, and the meaning behind the original motifs looses its significance.

The patterns were then used for the MO catalogue and the Reflections on Ornament booklet.
